A car park has been sealed off and a man taken to hospital after a modified mountain bike fitted with a motor smashed into a lamppost today.
Emergency services were called to Glover’s Lane in Netherton after the accident outside Netherton Activity Centre.
Police said the converted mountain bike smashed into the lamppost just before 10am.

The rider, a man in his 20s, was rushed to hospital.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening say police.
Several police vehicles and at least six officers could be seen at the taped off scene of the smash this morning.
The car park of Netherton Activity Centre remains cordoned off as the police probe continues.
One witness at the scene suggested the cyclist was being chased but police have said there is nothing to suggest this on its logs.
Police confirmed the bike was a mountain bike that has been adapted with a motor – effectively making it an electric bike.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "At around 9.50am we received a report that an electric bike was in collision with a lamppost outside Netherton activity centre.
"A man has been taken to hospital for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
"There are no road closures in place in the area but the activity centre car park remains cordoned off while enquiries are carried out."
