Ride operator attacks mum getting off Ferris wheel with kids – and is beaten up by crowd

A mass fair ground brawl broke out when a Ferris wheel operator punched a mum.

Intense footage from the Opa-locka Hialeah Flea Market in Florida shows a woman getting out of the carnival ride with her two children on Saturday night.

The carriage they're on sways slightly back and forth as the employee holds it steady.

A swear word can then be heard ringing out, although it's not clear who says it, before the mum turns to the operator.

He then launches himself at her, yelling "get the f*** out of my face".

An onlooker screams as the mum's little girl, whose arm she had been holding, is knocked to the ground.

Chaos then ensues, with numerous men and women piling onto the base of the ride to pummel the worker.

Punches and kicks are thrown as the shout of "beat his a**" goes up.

Off-duty police officers working at the fairground called for backup and reported “escalating disturbance within the venue” around 9.44 pm.

According to Opa-locka police, when officers entered the flea market to investigate, dozens of people ran to the exit, Local10 reported.

The woman involved at the beginning of the incident has been interviewed by police.

The Opa-locka police department said there is “probable cause” to arrest the employee.

A police statement read: “The Opa-locka Police Department does not tolerate any criminal acts of violence and will prosecute those individuals to the fullest extent of the law.”
