Ricky Jr's age in EastEnders and who plays him, as dad of Lily Slater's baby revealed

EastEnders' Ricky Jr, full name Ricky Mitchell, is currently at the centre of shocking scenes involving 12-year-old Lily Slater who learned she was pregnant this week.

Ricky has had a tough time in Walford recently, following his sister Amy Mitchell's self-harm battle and the arrival of his estranged mother Sam Mitchell.

Ricky has been on the soap for a while now, while he originally lived away from Walford following his birth.

He is the son of Sam Mitchell and Jack Branning, while initially Sam claimed the father was Ricky Butcher - hence the name.

But how old is Ricky Jr, and is he Lily's baby's dad on the BBC soap?

Ricky Jr's age and who plays him

Ricky Mitchell was born in 2010, after Sam's affair with Jack. This makes Ricky 12 years old.

Ricky will turn 13 in September this year, while Lily, also aged 12, will turn 13 years of age in June this year.

The character of Ricky has been played by three different actors, with current actor Frankie Day joining the soap in 2018.

Is Ricky the father of Lily's baby?

A recent episode confirmed that Ricky was the father of Lily's baby, as she told her mum Stacey that she had slept with him.

Viewers have seen the pair in more scenes together in recent months. Ricky Jr stuck up for Lily after her row with Amy.

Ricky has also been seen to sneak off numerous times in recent weeks to "see mates", while Lily was also shown smiling at her phone before hiding it from her mum Stacey.

Other names that fans thought could be the dad are Nugget, Denzel and Freddie - while some viewers think Lily has lied about Ricky being the dad.

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
