Ricky Gervais says he will donate body to zoo for lions eat when he dies

Ricky Gervais reckons he would make a great mane course for ravenous lions.

The comic – whose hit stand-up DVDs include Animals – says he plans to donate his body to a zoo when he dies so it can be served up for big cats.

Ricky also cheekily suggested that the beasts would love to munch on his, ahem, Golden Globes.

And The Office creator believes tourists would be able to stomach the grisly sight and enjoy a good gawp.

Ricky, 59, said: “I do not care about my body. Feed me to the lions.

“Like, me just being thrown into the lion’s cage at the zoo and people, all tourists, going, ‘Is that the bloke from The Office?’. Then they see the lions chewing me.

“I like the idea of two lions eating me and they go for the soft bits first.

“Just two lions just chewing my testicles. Brilliant!”

But he admitted there are other options for his body when he dies.

On a more serious note, he said: “I will probably give it to medical science so it does some good. But I like the idea of that as medical students would cut me open and they’d go, ‘What the f*** is this, what has he been doing? This is disgusting’.”

The British star revealed his plans while plugging his Netflix sitcom After Life in the US, on CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Ricky’s gags have previously included him saying of his ancestry: “I can have a go at the French cause I’m half-French half-English with a stupid name like Gervais.

“I’ve got qualities of both, which is good, so um… I am crap in bed but at least I’ve got bad breath.”

And while hosting the 2010 Golden Globes, he told the audience: “Looking at all the faces here reminds me of some of the great work that was done this year... by cosmetic surgeons.”
