There's an astonishing video on the homepage of Ricky Gervais's website. It starts with the comedian and Stephen Merchant bantering about the Extras special episode (which they say they've just finished writing), contains various swipes about how "no-one watches telly anymore, just the internet" and then takes off into an exhiliratingly foul-mouthed tirade about how many awards they've won. Finally, Gervais pretends to be a journalist typing "He's resting on his laurels" and bellows "Yes I am resting on my laurels you cunt!" To whom might he be referring?
