Rickie Fowler's Arnold Palmer-Inspired Golf Shoes Are Loud For A Good Cause

Rickie Fowler is a big fan of Arnold Palmer and his legacy in the game of golf. The folks at Puma Golf are big fans of doing things that get them noticed.

When you put those two things together, you get Rickie Fowler’s limited edition high-top golf shoes for this week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. These are not your grandfather’s golf shoes.

Puma, who signed the 29-year-old Fowler to a long-term extension as an endorser in 2015, teamed up with Roland Padron, a Miami-based custom footwear designer, to create just two pairs of the shoes, Golf Digest reported. Fowler, the No. 7-ranked golfer in the world, will wear one pair during the tournament, which begins Thursday in Orlando. He will autograph the other pair, which will then be included in a giveaway to benefit Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation.

Fowler’s custom green and white high-tops will feature Palmer’s signature, his trademark umbrella and a pink lining.

In addition to Fowler’s custom shoes, the German-based company created custom PWRADAPT Golf shoes and Arnie’s Army Snapback caps featuring a silhouette of a young Palmer along with each year he won in his career, and the number of wins in each of those respective years. Just 62 pairs of the PWRADAPT shoes will be available, a nod to Palmer’s career victories, while 175 caps will be given away.
