Rick's Bar opens at legendary Indian restaurant Koh I Noor

A new bar has opened up inside the legendary Charing Cross restaurant Koh I Noor.

Earlier this week, we reported on the iconic food and drink spot's permanent closure, dashing hopes the oldest Indian restaurant in town would reopen.

However, it appears the venue has reopened, but not in the form of Koh I Noor.

Nearby bars The Locale and Chinaski's have in the last 24 hours posted pictures on Instagram of 'Rick's Bar', with Casablanca vibes coming from the inside of the famous food location.

Last night, The Locale posted a snap of the legendary Koh I Noor with the simple caption; 'Rick’s Bar @ The Koh I Noor. Open 9 till late. First come first served kids!", with Chinaski's sharing a similar post this evening.

The Indian restaurant had been serving up delicious scran to hungry Glaswegians since 1964, when it opened in Gibson Street over in Kelvinbridge – and it's a favourite of Billy Connolly.

Glasgow Live have contacted Chinaski's for further details.
