Rick and Morty season 4 trailer: Adult Swim releases first look at new episodes

The first look at the long-awaited fourth series of Rick and Morty is finally here.

Rick and Morty has always had big gaps between seasons, and in the series three finale character Mr Poopy Butthole joked he would be seeing the lead duo in “season four in like, a really long time”.

Adult Swim, which airs the show in the US, announced the new season will premiere on 10 November. A UK broadcast is likely to follow shortly afterwards.

In July, the show’s creator Dan Harmon told Entertainment Weekly: “I think it’s safe to say without fear of being wrong that the gap between seasons three and four will be the longest and last time that it’s ever so long that it’s ridiculous.

“I don’t know how fast we can do it, but I know it will never be this long again. There were so many things that had to be settled before we even started season four.”

Rick and Morty stars the show’s co-creator Justin Roiland as Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith, alongside a voice cast including Chris Parnell as Morty’s father Jerry, Spencer Grammer as Morty’s sister Summer and Sarah Chalke as Rick’s daughter Beth.

A new cast of guest stars will feature in the new season, including Taika Waititi, Kathleen Turner, Sam Neil and Paul Giamatti.

Rick and Morty was renewed for an unprecedented 70 further episodes by Adult Swim in 2018, meaning we can expect many more series after the fourth.
