Jess Hosking will be reunited with her identical twin Sarah at Richmond after the Tigers sealed a last-minute AFLW trade for the Carlton midfielder.
Richmond traded pick No.23 and No.40 to the Blues for Hosking and picks No.55 and No.57 on the final day of the AFLW trade and sign period.
Drafted to the Blues in the inaugural draft in 2016 along with Sarah - who joined the Tigers last trade period - Hosking departs Carlton after 30 AFLW games.
"Jess is a quality person and a hardened AFLW professional," Richmond head of women's football Kate Sheahan said.
"On field, she will provide leadership and versatility and great support for our midfielders and young players."
The Blues had been keen to re-sign Hosking but after she requested a trade on Tuesday, added to their draft haul .
They now have three early picks in the Victorian draft pool.
Hosking joins Tayla Harris, Chloe Dalton and Katie Loynes in Carlton's departures this trade period, but the Blues have secured ex-GWS midfielder Jess Dal Pos and bolstered their draft hand.
"All our discussions with Jess since the end of the season had centred around her re-signing with the club however yesterday she informed us of her intentions to seek a trade," Carlton women's football boss Brett Munro said.
"That was obviously really disappointing as we have strong belief in Jess as a player and her qualities as a person, however we know for our playing group to achieve what it is capable of in the coming seasons, that requires total buy in.
"Once she had made her decision our focus was on getting the best outcome for our football club."
Late in the trade period, Gold Coast secured North Melbourne ruck Vivien Saad.
The Suns sent pick No.19 to the Kangaroos for Saad and pick No.30.
GWS' Aimee Schmidt joined West Coast via restricted free agency while the Eagles traded pick No.38 to Fremantle for defender Evie Gooch.
Earlier, GWS secured North Melbourne's Jasmine Grierson in exchange for pick No.28.
Geelong delisted powerful forward Richelle Cranston along with Bec Goring and Kate Darby.
