Richmond AFL star Shai Bolton issues plea for return of stolen premiership medals

Richmond AFL player Shai Bolton has issued a plea for thieves to return "cherished" premiership medals stolen from his Melbourne home.

The club said Bolton's 2019 and 2020 premiership medals were stolen in late December.

The dual premiership player was away in Perth when his Malvern home was burgled.

Four months later, Bolton and the club released a statement calling for whoever stole the medals to return them.

"It is very saddening to have items as cherished as my premiership medals taken this way," Bolton said.

"If anyone has any information about where they could be or that could help towards them being returned, it would mean a lot to me and my family."

Victoria Police said the investigation was ongoing.

The midfielder-forward played for Richmond in the team's 2019 and 2020 premiership sides.

He was selected as an All-Australian player in 2022 and was awarded the AFL's Mark of the Year award a year earlier.
