Richarlison signs new long-term Everton contract

Everton have confirmed a new long-term contract for Richarlison, keeping the forward at the club until 2024.

The forward was Marco Silva's first signing as Blues manager in the summer of 2018, following his former manager from Watford up to Merseyside.

It was long until the youngster established himself as one of the most influential players for his new signing, ending the 2018/19 campaign as the club's joint top scorer alongside Gylfi Sigurdsson with 13 strikes in the Premier League.

Richarlison scored his 20th Everton goal in 50 starts against Leicester City on Sunday,

And he has amassed 19 Brazil caps since making his national team debut two months after joining the club.

Tuesday evening's news comes after Marcel Brands confirmed last Friday a new deal for the 22-year-old was close following rumoured interest from the likes of Manchester United.

The forward has already managed six goals in all competitions despite the Blues' struggles this season, securing two assists in the league alongside that.
