Richarlison answers £65m Arsenal transfer call amid Everton snub as Edu rejects Dortmund offer

Arsenal are set for yet another busy summer transfer window as technical director Edu looks to continue Mikel Arteta's rebuild.

The Gunners will be hoping to end their six-year UEFA Champions League hiatus next term by adding some top-class players to Arteta's talented young squad. At least one striker will be targeted following the January departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang whilst Alexandre Lacazette is also set to leave on a free transfer at the end of the month.

A number of high-profile talents have been linked with a move to north London, including the likes of Youri Tielemans and Gabriel Jesus. With that said, football.london looks at all the latest rumours linking players with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Richarlison decides future

Richarlison has told Everton that he wants to leave Goodison Park this summer, according to reports. And The Sun claim that Arsenal will be tempted to move for the striker, who has two years on his contract.

Though, the Brazil international is said to have set his sights on a move to Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid. Frank Lampard's side are set to demand £65million for Richarlison's services.

The Gunners' interest follows Arteta's desire to bolster his strike force in the upcoming transfer window, with Alexandre Lacazette set to leave in the coming weeks once his deal at the Emirates Stadium expires.

Morata turns nose up at Arsenal

Spanish outlet Sport have reported that the north London outfit are pursuing Atletico Madrid's Alvaro Morata. It's believed that Arsenal have lodged an offer of €30million (£26million) for the former Chelsea striker, and they are said to be 'very close' to securing his services.

But, Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, as quoted by Sport Witness, claim that the 29-year-old isn't convinced by about a return to the Premier League. Latest reports have outlined that the Spain international has shown no interest in penning a deal at the Emirates Stadium.

Edu rejects £21m offer

Borussia Dortmund have granted Edu the opportunity to bolster Arsenal's backline ahead of the upcoming transfer window, but the Gunners transfer chief has snubbed the offer.

The north London outfit have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund centre-half Manuel Akanji, who has been told he can leave the club following the sacking of head coach Marco Rose and the recent signings of Niklas Sule and Nico Schlotterbeck. The Sun claim that the Switzerland international's representatives are eyeing a move to the Premier League, with the north London outfit emerging as a potential destination.

Dortmund have put a £21million asking price on the defender, though it's believed that the aforementioned fee could quickly drop in the coming weeks with his contract at the Signal Iduna Park set to expire in twelve months. However, despite opportunity at hand to leapfrog United in the transfer race, The Sun add that Arsenal could be reluctant to strike a deal.
