Everton fans were met with a huge shock as they scoured social media on Monday night, with Richarlison linked with a move away from the club.
RMC Sport have claimed that should Kylian Mbappe agree a last-minute move to Real Madrid, then PSG have lined the Everton forward up as a potential replacement.
The news comes as Mbappe stalls over a new contract at the Parisian side, meaning that they could look to cash in this summer to avoid the World Cup winner leaving for free next year.
With Lionel Messi and Neymar already complementing the French side’s forward line, the report alleges that the latter has identified his Brazilian team-mate as Mbappe’s replacement - much to the dismay of the Toffees fanbase.

Having already accommodated Richarlison in his desire to go to the Olympics with Brazil, it is evident that Everton have no intention of selling the striker.
Despite claiming that PSG have already been in contact with the Blues forward’s representatives, it seems highly unlikely that the Ligue 1 side would sanction a deal for Mbappe with a little over a week remaining in the transfer window.
It is rightfully a daunting prospect for Everton fans to be faced with, but the club would likely demand a pre-Covid level transfer fee for one of the club’s prize assets.
Richarlison’s Everton contract runs until 2024 and with Real Madrid knowing that they could get 22-year-old Mbappe for free next summer, a truly extraordinary chain of events would have to occur for the striker to leave Finch Farm.
