Richard Young: Dalai
The Dalai Lama, Euston Road, London, 1981

Richard Young: Debbie Harry
Debbie Harry, The Sanctuary, London, 1981

Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin, Ritz hotel, London, 1979
I spent an hour with them: they were all over each other. I think this is a very sexy shot

Richard Young: Sophia Loren
I arrived late and, finding myself behind her, called out: "Sophia look this way darling." All the other photographers were astounded at my cheek Photograph: guardian.co.uk
