Richard Madeley SWEARS again five minutes into Good Morning Britain

Richard Madeley held his head in his hands as he chastised himself for “swearing again” five minutes into Good Morning Britain.

The bumbling stand-in host groaned “oh no, he’s sworn again” as he told Kate Garraway that he that his hopes his tan will stay a more natural colour on-air this week.

“I b***** hope so. Excuse me, oh no he’s sworn again,” cried Madeley as his co-stars laughed around him.

“It’s five minutes past six and you’re off already!” Charlotte Hawkins laughed as Richard Arnold joked: “'If all I had to do was open the show with expletives and put fake tan on to get the amount of coverage you got, I'd have started it years ago.”

Madeley was forced to apologise for his language last week, despite not even realising his gaffe during a chat with The Voice winner Molly Hocking.

Madeley turned the air blue as he met Hocking and her mentor Olly Murs before asking her about the moment reality hits and she thinks “s***” she’s won.

He said: “Reality really kicks in when there’s a moment and you just say, “s*** I won!”

“Apparently I might have said the word beginning with an ‘s’ and ending in a ‘t’,” Madeley said later. “I didn’t think I had. But if I did I can only apologise.”

When making his latest slip, Madeley had been discussing his fake tanning accident last week that left him being mocked for an unusual shade of orange.

“Do not adjust your sets, your colour setting is absolutely perfect this morning,” he joked. “I looked like Ross from Friends.

“On Wednesday morning, I was in the kitchen, when you get up early, you don’t want to wake your partner so I get ready in the kitchen.

“I have been told off for having stubble so I had a dry shave in the kitchen...running short of time, I reached into the cupboard, got what I thought was aftershave balm out...squirted it on.

“As I was driving in, I thought it smelt a bit funny… a bit woody…. anyway, when I got home on Wednesday, I went to the cupboard and it wasn’t aftershave balm, it was Chloe or Judy’s fake tan. I can just apologise.”

Good Morning Britain is on ITV, weekdays at 6am
