Richard Madeley quizzed over £200,000 I'm A Celebrity fee after early exit

Richard Madeley returned to Good Morning Britain on Monday following his early I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! exit.

The 65-year-old joined Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid on GMB after he was forced to exit Gwrych Castle last Thursday.

Richard detailed his "disturbing" health scare, which he thinks was caused by dehydration, and explained why he wasn't allowed back in camp despite being "as fit as a fiddle". You can read more on what he said here.

After detailing what happened, Richard was then quizzed on his I'm A Celebrity fee, following reports he would still receive £200,000.

Susanna asked: "The other question people are asking is if you only do a couple of days do you still get the fee?"

Richard said: "Well I did a lot more than a couple of days I'll tell you that.

"Actually, the night you saw us being marched into The Clink that was actually on the Friday.

"They start filming and you go into the castle a few days beforehand.

"So I was actually in the castle for about eight days.

"But I don't know about the fee, I've only just got home, I'll leave that to my agent to talk about.

"It will be fine, we'll sort something out."

Good Morning Britain continues weekdays at 6am on ITV.
