Richard Madeley was accused of "body shaming" James 'Arg' Argent after making some awkward comments on Good Morning Britain today.
Arg is currently presenting the showbiz news while entertainment Richard Arnold is away.
Speaking to Richard and Charlotte Hawkins, Arg began to talk about his weight.
He said: "I’ve noticed since I’ve turned 30 it’s harder for me. Usually I can get it off really quickly and now it’s proper hard work."
Richard then questioned: "Have you always had a bit of a struggle with your weight?"
"Always gone up and done," Arg agreed. "There's times when I've been really slim and healthy."
Richard then asked whether this was the biggest he's ever been, Arg replied: "No this is the heaviest I’ve ever been."
The presenter then asked: "What are you going to do about it? I know you're swimming the English Channel."
Arg replied: "I’ve kickstarted my weight loss journey and my healthy lifestyle. Obviously the Sink Or Swim, swimming the channel has been perfect timing for me, and hopefully this will be the start and I’ll be making some big changes."
Richard ended the line of questioning by awkwardly saying: "You’re one of those lucky guys, you’re still very good looking.
"You’re a good looking guy and the weight thing doesn’t get in the way. But I just worry about your health, you know."
Viewers were left cringing, with one tweeting: "Poor arg and the buffoon that is Richard madeley..truly awful..#GMB."
Another wrote: "Jesus @richardm56 Way to turn it personal and rude to @RealJamesArgent about his weight. Wasn’t your concern to gonin on him like that when he was just doing his job Nasty."
A third remarked: "That was a bit awkward. Good recovery from RM throwing in the compliment."
