Richard Keys takes aim at Gary Neville over 'anarchy' before Manchester United vs Liverpool

Richard Keys believes Gary Neville is responsible for starting an "anarchy" ahead of Liverpool's trip to Old Trafford this evening.

Some Manchester United fans continued their protest against the club's owners, the Glazer family, by blocking a Liverpool bus from approaching the stadium.

Neville, who is a huge critic of the Glazers, spoke after United vs Liverpool was postponed earlier in the month due to home supporters breaking into Old Trafford to vent their frustration.

The ex-United defender said: “This is a consequence of the Manchester United owners’ actions two weeks ago," referring to the highly controversial European Super League plans.

Now, Keys has ripped into Neville for his part in the protests happening and also criticised United fans for the way they events have happened.

"This was my problem with those who should have known better but were encouraging the demonstration 11 days ago," he said to beIN Sports.

"Gary Neville, I will mention again, was one of those.

"This is anarchy, this is public disorder. This is anything but a calm demonstration. This may or may not be [the real bus], this could be the dummy.

"I want to watch football, I don't want to watch riots. There's no excuse, there's no excuse for this.

"Point made, wrongly, but tonight we want to see a football match."

The Liverpool players have since arrived at Old Trafford safely and as things stand, kick-off is scheduled for 8:15pm.

It's a huge night for the Reds, who will have been encouraged by Chelsea's loss to Arsenal on Wednesday evening, which means qualifying for the Champions League is back in their hands.
