Richard Keys launches astonishing attack on Liverpool and makes serious Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane claim

Disgraced former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys has told Liverpool to enjoy their imminent Premier League title while they can - because many of their best players will soon be departing.

Keys, who now works for beIN Sports in Qatar, has long been a vociferous critic of the European and world champions.

Liverpool require only six more points from their final nine league games to lift their 19th title and first since 1990.

But rather than build on the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup successes over the past nine months, Keys is adamant the break-up of Jurgen Klopp's side is imminent thanks to Spanish superpowers Barcelona and Real Madrid.

"None of us that remember watching the great Liverpool teams that Shankly, Paisley and Dalglish built - and Kenny built his own team whatever his critics would have you believe - would ever have imagined that it would be 30 years between the last title and this one," said Keys.

"Jurgen Klopp rightly joins the above Hall of Fame. He’s eclipsed Benitez. The true test of how good a team - or coach is - is delivering a title.

"If Coronavirus allows, Liverpool will be celebrating, with a packed Anfield, just three matches from now.

"But then what? Well, that’s when the trouble starts. I believe Liverpool will have to go to war to hold on to their prized assets.

"Not the Hendersons (my player of the year), Robertsons or Milners. But Salah? Mane? Van Dijk? That’s different.

"Enjoy the win Liverpool. It’s well deserved and it’s been far too long, but the trouble is about to start.

"What chance a decade of Liverpool success? Not much if I’m right."

Keys, writing in his personal blog, goes on to claim Salah and Mane have no time for each other and expects both of them to have left Liverpool before the start of next season.

"Don’t believe what they tell you about Mane and Salah not having much time for each other," said the 62-year-old.

"It’s worse than that. They deeply dislike each other. Both would be a whole lot happier playing in a team without the other.

"So - how does that happen? Do Liverpool sell one and keep the other? In an ideal world - yes. But I’ve got a feeling both could be on their way out.

"I fancy that Barca will test Liverpool’s resolve to hang on to Mane. And what else could he achieve at Liverpool? Salah will be thinking the same if Real come calling."
