Richard Jefferson's retirement only lasted for three days

Richard Jefferson, the recently retired 15-year veteran of the NBA, will return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, three days after making the announcement to hang up his jersey.

While accepting The Larry O'Brien NBA Championship Trophy with his teammates on Wednesday afternoon, Jefferson was convinced by his teammates and more than one million fans that he needs to prolong his retirement for at least one more season.

“No it’s not set in stone,” Jefferson said during the NBA Championship parade in Cleveland, Ohio. “My teammates, LeBron and those guys are trying to talk to me out of it. They’re saying I’m crazy if I retire. So we’ll see. It’s still up for debate.”

After the crowd began chanting, “One more year,” Jefferson reluctantly said, “Okay, I’ll come back.”

So there you have it, the 36-year-old small forward will rejoin the Cavaliers on their quest to bring Cleveland its first, second championship in history.

Jefferson jokingly said that his only teammate that didn't want to see his return was point guard Kyrie Irving, who responded with this wonderful Kanye shrug.
