Richard Hammond’s daughter Izzy called her famous dad an expletive in a tongue-in-cheek tribute for Father’s Day.
The 24-year-old - who has followed in her Top Gear star father’s footsteps with her own career in motoring - shared a playful post in dedication to him on Instagram on Sunday.
Izzy posted a snap of her and Richard, 55, grinning while sitting astride a motorbike, as well as a sweet home video from when she was a toddler in which the father-daughter duo drew a picture of a tree.
She captioned the post: “Recently, people have decided that I think you’re an idiot. I do not. I think you’re a t**t x.
“Happy Father’s Day. Hope you don’t mind me giving the whole car thing a go. Love ya (Swipe to see me and Rich chatting rubbish on telly 20 years ago. Not much has changed).”
The vlogger hosts a podcast, Who We Are Now, with Richard and regularly appears in videos on his YouTube platform, DriveTribe.
The Grand Tour star Richard shares Izzy and daughter Willow with his former wife, newspaper columnist Amanda “Mindy” Hammond.
Richard and Mindy announced their split in January after an “amazing 28 years together”.
They said in a statement: “A little update from us; this Christmas we were together as a family and this year we will still be a family but just structured a bit differently.
“Our marriage is coming to end, but we’ve had an amazing 28 years together and two incredible daughters.
“We will always be in each other’s lives and are proud of the family we created.”
They went on: “We won’t be commenting further and sincerely hope that our privacy and that of our children will be respected at this time. With Love, Richard and Mindy.”
Richard was supported by Mindy in 2006 following a high-speed crash on Top Gear which left him with serious injuries.
The presenter apologised to Mindy and daughters after suffering a second crash in 2017.
He fractured his knee when he smashed an electric supercar through a barrier and sent it plummeting down a hill in Switzerland.
He was found lying on the ground near the Rimac Concept One electric car, having scrambled free just moments before it burst into flames.
Sharing a video from his hospital bed, he said: “Most importantly sorry to my wife Mindy and my daughters, Izzy and Willow. I'm sorry for being such a colossal idiot.”
