Oscar winner Richard Dreyfuss was accused Friday of sexually harassing a woman writer in the 1980s _ charges he emphatically denied.
Jessica Teich said the "Jaws" actor had invited her to his trailer in 1987 when they were both working on a film and greeted her with his erect penis exposed.
"The idea was that I was going to give him (oral sex). I didn't, and I left," Teich told Vulture.
For the next several years, she said, the married Dreyfuss subjected her to constant sexual harassment.
"He created a very hostile work environment, where I felt sexualized, objectified, and unsafe," she told Vulture.
Teich said she decided to speak up after reading Dreyfuss' supportive tweet to his son, who says he was abused by actor Kevin Spacey as a teen.
Dreyfuss, 70, said he didn't recall "exposing" himself to Teich and denied that allegation.
But he had pursued Teich for several years in what he thought was an acceptable way, he said.
"I did flirt with her, and I remember trying to kiss Jessica as part of what I thought was a consensual seduction ritual that went on and on for many years," Dreyfuss said.
He described himself as "horrified and bewildered" to discover the flirtation wasn't welcome by Teich.
"I didn't get it. It makes me reassess every relationship I have ever thought was playful and mutual," he said.
