Richard and Judy made a surprise return to This Morning on Monday as Holly and Phil take their summer holiday break.
The veteran TV couple appeared on the sofa next to presenters Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes to launch a new competition.
They are looking for a future lockdown bestseller as they urged writers to send in their story ideas ahead of the deadline on August 14.
Fans were delighted to see them back on the ITV programme again - the pair were regular hosts between 1988 and 2001.
They pop back up on the programme now and then - and have even taken the helm for a few episodes, much to viewers’ delight.
Fans took to Twitter to speak of their joy.
One tweeted: “Bring back Richard and Judy! Let them take over the show. Love them!”
A second posted: “Just bring back Richard and Judy permanately. Best presenters on TV! Or at least let them stand in when Phil and Holly are off. The rest pale in comparison.”
A third said: “Absolutely great to see Richard & Judy, made my day.”
The reaction was mostly positive although a few were more interested in Richard’s impressive tan.
People wanted to know how he managed to get such sun-kissed skin while Britain has been in lockdown.
One tweeted: “Richard being on holiday or his gone a bit OTT with fake tan lol.”
Meanwhile as Ruth and Eamonn step in to present the programme Monday to Thursday, Friday (July 17) will see singer and fashion expert Rochelle Humes and Strictly's Ore Oduba take the helm.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
