Ribfest moving from Naperville to Romeoville, starting in 2020: report

After 32 years in Naperville, Ribfest is headed south — to Romeoville, that is.

The Daily Herald is reporting that the Romeoville village board OK’d an agreement with the Exchange Club of Naperville to plan and operate the event, which has been held around July 4 every year and also features musical acts and a fireworks show.

Ribfest raises money for the Exchange Club, a nonprofit group that works to prevent child abuse and domestic violence.
