At the end of the dance, before the judges gave their scores, host Claudia Winkleman spoke to Rhys about how his whole family were in the studio watching other than his dad who was unable to be there.

She then showed Rhys a video message from his Dad, who said: "Hello Rhys, this is Dad sorry I can't be there this week but as you know I am very proud of you. Having a son like you is a dream of any parent, I'm happy, proud, and blessed that you are my son."

Before the video, Rhys gasped "No way!" and became emotional after the video leaning on Nancy's shoulder and beginning to cry.

He was then awarded four nines from all the judges to score 36 for his tango.

The couples are competing in the semi-final to reach the final on Saturday, November 18, and to win the Glitterball trophy.
