Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu voted off Strictly Come Dancing semi final 2021

CBeebies presenter Rhys Stephenson and his professional dancer Nancy Xu have been voted off the Strictly Come Dancing semi-final meaning they just missed out making it to the final.

Dancing against Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite and his professional partner Johannes Radebe, the first male same sex couple on the show, the judges unanimously voted to save John and Johannes meaning Rhys and Nancy left the show.

The presenter is known for his very energetic dances and became emotional during the semi-final when he was show a video of support from his dad.

Judge Craig Revel Horwood called the dance off "One of the most amazing dance offs I've ever witnessed." and all the judges all agreed it was very tough to choose who to save.

Rose Ayling-Ellis and her professional partner Giovanni Pernice, AJ Odudu and her professional partner Kai Widdrington and John and Johannes are all the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 finalists.

They will compete on Saturday, December 19, dancing three dances, to win the Glitterball trophy and be crowned Strictly Come Dancing 2021 champion.

The Strictly Come Dancing final will air on Saturday, December 19 from 7pm on BBC One.
