Rhyl's Marina Quay retail park has gone on the market

The Marina Quay retail park in Rhyl has gone up for sale.

Scarborough Development Group built the site in 2017 on the site of the former Rhyl funfair, which closed in 2007.

It has attracted retailers like Aldi, The Range, B&M, Greggs and Costa.

The site has now gone on the market for offers in excess of £17m with another national retailer apparently keen on coming to the site.

Commercial real estate agencies Allsop and Knight Frank have been appointed as joint agents on the sale.

The park is multi let to eight tenants with a total headline rent of £1,148,690 per annum.

An Allsop spokesman said: "There are opportunities for further development with the potential for an extra 20,000 sq ft retail warehouse unit on behalf of a national discount retailer, who has recently expressed an interest."

There is also potential for an additional 2,500 sq ft drive thru for a fast food restaurant, who have previously proposed terms and potential to let the vacant kiosk unit to reduce the void and drive further footfall.
