RHS Garden Bridgewater tickets now on sale

Tickets for the opening weeks of the new world-class RHS Garden Bridgewater in Salford are now on sale.

The 154-acre garden was due to open last year, but it was delayed due to Covid.

Now organisers have announced the site, off Leigh Road in Worsley, will open to the public on Tuesday, May 18.

From May 25, all Salford residents will be able to visit the stunning garden for free on Tuesdays for a year.

To manage social distancing measures, all visitors are being asked to pre-book an arrival time-slot ahead of their visit.

Time slots are available from 10am-5pm every day and the garden will close at 6pm.

No booking is needed to visit the garden centre, which will be open from 9.30am until 6.30pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am-5pm on Sundays.

Covid safety measures introduced during the pandemic include floor markings, separate entry and exit points and card-only transactions.

The Bridgewater garden, at the former Worsley New Hall estate, will be the first ever RHS Garden in an urban area.

It will provide world-class horticultural inspiration and expertise to around 7.8 million people living within an hour’s journey time of the site.

Highlights of the garden include beautiful designs by RHS Chelsea Flower Show winners, numerous community-focused spaces and a four-acre Woodland play area.
