RHOA's Nene Leakes says husband Gregg is 'at home dying' amid his ongoing cancer battle

Nene Leakes has revealed her husband is 'at home dying' as she took to the microphone at a club at the weekend.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 53, made the announcement at the club she owns in Georgia called the Linnethia Lounge after being offended by customers calling her rude for not wishing someone a happy birthday.

Following the incident, the reality TV star addressed party-goers to tell them her feelings.

In a video shared by Onsite! Nene can be seen saying: "My husband is transitioning to the other side."

She then shocked onlookers as she turned to speak directly with the group that seemingly criticised her. She slammed them, saying: "You don’t know what we're dealing with right now. We walked in this lounge because we had to walk in this lounge because this is our business.

"So, when people approach and say 'you're rude because you don’t want to say happy birthday' — my husband is at home dying. I don't want to say 'happy birthday."

She added: "My husband is losing his life right now."

People in the crowd appeared sympathetic of the star's words and could be heard supporting her on the clip.

She ended her update by saying: "My husband will not be here in the next couple of days."

And the star posted to Instagram on Sunday night with the message: "Broken," alongside praying hand and broken heart emojis.

The message led to fans fearing the worst and quickly sending her messages of support.

Among those sending their well wishes were rapper Katrina Taylor, singer Brandy and Nene's co-star on the Bravo show Marlo Hampton.

Husband Gregg Leakes, 67, was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer but had seemingly been recovering.

However, Nene revealed in June that the cancer had returned and asked fans to "pray for Gregg".

The pair have had a turbulent relationship, marrying twice. They originally tied the knot in 1997 before getting a divorce in 2011.

Two years later the reconciled and remarried in June 2013. Fans of hit series Real Housewives of Atlanta watched the real estate investor's treatment for cancer in season 11, which appeared to take its toll on him both physically and mentally.
