Rhian Sugden has blasted TV presenter Vernon Kay for the 'sexting scandal' a decade ago, claiming that it 'ruined her career'.
In 2010 it was exposed that 46-year-old Vernon had been involved in a sexy text message 'fling' with model Rhian.
The scandal saw Vernon publicly apologise to his wife Tess Daly, 51, who hosts BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.
The 33-year-old glamour model has hit out again saying that she felt Vernon 'got away with it' while the scandal ended her career, claims Rhian.
In Channel 4 documentary, Page Three: The Naked Truth, Rhian said that it was unfair that Vernon was given the opportunity to front family TV shows while she was vilified.
She said: "He just got away with it. It ruined everything for me. I felt like I was going up and up with my career and then that came along. I wish I’d never met him.
“He got to give an apology on the radio and just got to carry on, with Family Fortunes, ironically. It still makes me feel sick.”
Rhian, who is now married to actor Oliver Mellor, told the documentary that she met Vernon in Manchester and that he began texting her after that, behind the back of wife Tess, who he had been married to for seven years.
A tearful Rhian continued: "There was an attraction there for both of us. I was a Page Three girl and he was Vernon Kay. He’s a good looking fella.
“He came to Manchester and that was the first night we’d met. Things just stemmed from there.
“It was all probably more bravado on text from him when he’d had a drink,
"‘Oh you look fit in that picture, sexy, wish I could see you more’."
When the scandal broke, it was front page news and propelled Rhian into the spotlight.
Speaking about the effect that had, she said: "And then obviously it went in the newspaper. We were front page news because we’d been sex texting each other.
"If I’d met this man, slept with him and had a full blown affair with him then I would understand the backlash. It was like I’d literally killed somebody.”
