Rhian Brewster drops Callum Hudson-Odoi to Liverpool transfer hint

Rhian Brewster has launched a cheeky approach to try and get Callum Hudson-Odoi to join him at Liverpool .

Hudson-Odoi, 18, is currently sidelined with an Achilles injury that he suffered towards the end of last season.

The Chelsea teenager's future remains the source of much speculation after Bayern Munich made several attempts to take him to Germany last term.

He has reportedly agreed terms on a new deal at Stamford Bridge after talks with Frank Lampard but has not yet put pen to paper.

And Brewster, who was part of the successful England Under-17s side with Hudson-Odoi, has urged him to move to Anfield.

The Chelsea star excited fans this week when he posted a video on social media of him showing off his skills, suggesting he is close to returning.

Fellow Stamford Bridge youngster Trevoh Chalobah, who is on loan at Huddersfield , replied with a simple "sign it" comment to his teammate.

But Brewster hijacked the post with his own reply to Chalobah, adding: "At Liverpool".

Unsurprisingly, Liverpool fans were sent into meltdown by the tweet from Brewster.

Chelsea are said to be confident Hudson-Odoi will stay at the club but boss Lampard was tight-lipped when asked about the winger's future recently.

"No update at all. I've laid my cards on the table about it a while ago and it's between him and the club at the minute," he said.

"Callum is training, looking bright and sharp but now we're in the zone where it's about protecting him, giving him conditioning with fitness, especially in the area of his injury. He has had quite a long time out."
