Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster is primed to complete his loan move to Swansea City on Tuesday after issues regarding standard personal terms were quickly settled.
The Independent had reported that Steve Cooper’s side struck an agreement with the Premier League leaders without a fee for the 19-year-old, with only wage recovery and financial penalties if he doesn’t play factored into the equation.
Despite such a favourable trade between the clubs, Swansea had being unobliging with basic elements of the transfer like goal bonuses.
Leeds United and Bristol City were on standby to profit if there was a permanent break down in negotiations, but with Brewster keen to be reunited with Cooper, a speedy resolution materialised.
The forward will travel to the Welsh coastal city on Tuesday to finalise his temporary switch.
Brewster, in need of regular minutes having started just two games for Liverpool this season, thrived under Cooper's guidance as manager of England Under-17s.
He won the Golden Boot two years ago during the World Cup triumph, but his development was stifled by a serious ankle injury sustained in January 2018 that required surgery.
Brewster had opted to turn down advances from several Bundesliga teams that summer to sign a new five-year deal with Liverpool, but has found opportunities limited due to the contributions of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi.
He remains highly rated at Anfield with Jurgen Klopp believing greater game time will be beneficial to the player and the club in the long term.
