After his last TV show, Rang Jaun Tere Rang Mein (RJTRM), which he joined midway in August, and the news of it shutting surfaced a month later, Reyaansh Vir Chadha has now decided that he will not enter an ongoing daily soap. He says, “I will avoid joining an ongoing daily soap. A new show doesn’t deviate from the original storyline overnight and its characters get ample time to forge a connection with the audience. However, in an ongoing show, the team is already buckling under the pressure to rake in the numbers and fight other insecurities. They don’t stick to the concept or what they have promised the actor.”
In fact, he also wants to be certain about the graph of his character before he gives the nod to a project. For those uninitiated, RJTRM, which was slated to end on October 1 has got a month-long extension. However, Reyaansh quit the show a few weeks ago. He says, “The role didn’t shape up the way it was promised to me. It was fine initially but then it started dropping creatively. I wasn’t creatively satisfied. Earlier, the show was scheduled to end on October 1 and I decided to fulfill the commitment. But now that they have got an extension, I can’t continue with it. I have always aspired to take up quality work. Money has never been a governing factor.”
He adds, “Taking up this show was a big mistake in all aspects but it has been a lesson, too. I am glad that the production house understood my predicament and we ended the association mutually.”
