Former NFL head coach Rex Ryan caused somewhat of a stir with the Cleveland Browns this week when he called Baker Mayfield “overrated as hell.”
According to Ryan, Mayfield is a one-read quarterback who didn’t deserve the hype. The Browns were predictably asked to respond to those comments, and both head coach Freddie Kitchens and Mayfield dismissed Ryan’s remarks.
“In the wise words of Freddie Kitchens, ‘If you don’t wear orange and brown, you don’t matter,’ and Rex Ryan doesn’t have any colors right now for a reason. So, it’s okay.”
Well, guess what Ryan wore as he showed up to ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown? Orange and brown.
Ryan also added further commentary on the whole rift with the Browns.
