Rewind: Landon Collins gets hyped when Redskins draft Chase Young

It may have gotten lost in the shuffle during the wild 2020 NFL Draft process, but it should never be lost from our memory. Washington Redskins’ safety Landon Collins was truly ecstatic when he found out that Chase Young would soon be his newest teammate.

While talking with analysts from NBC Sports Washington, JP Finlay broke the news to Collins of the Redskins selection with the No. 2 pick. The veteran SS clapped wildly, unable to stop smiling.

Everyone in the sporting world obviously knew this was the likely outcome, but there was nothing quite like the relief of hearing it become official. With a clear cut choice in front of them, the Washington Redskins didn’t screw this one up. I think we all gave them a round of applause when we saw that happen.
