Reward for Brian Laundrie reaches $30,000 as search continues

Cash rewards for information leading to the whereabouts of Brian Laundrie total $30,000 on the day after his girlfriend, Gabby Petito, was laid to rest in Long Island.

Florida law firm Boohoff Law said in a statement it was offering $20,000 for information to help authorities find the missing 23-year-old “person of interest” in the Petito homicide case. The law office has a practice in North Fort, Florida, where Laundrie’s family resides.

A man claiming to be a neighbor of the victim’s family is offering $10,000 for the location of Laundrie, who is believed to have retreated to the nearly 25,000 square-foot Carlton Reserve in Sarasota County, Florida, shortly after Petito’s parents reported their daughter missing. Investigators there have had no luck finding Laundrie since his Sept. 14 disappearance.

A woman in Toronto posted a photo on TikTok last week of a man resembling Laundrie whom she said showed up at a hotel there. That possible sighting has not been addressed by law enforcement.

Reality TV star Duane Chapman, better known as Dog the Bounty Hunter, joined in the search over the weekend. ABC News reports that the 68-year-old manhunter visited Laundrie’s parents’ Florida home Saturday afternoon. He knocked, but no one answered.
