Online clothing retailer Revolve has sparked mixed reactions after unveiling a new Vaccine Ready category, with the section curated to feature various strapless or off-the-shoulder tops.
The new section of the website was first noticed by a woman on TikTok who goes by the username @danni____cole, who shared a video of her discovery this week on the platform.
“So I was looking for summer shirts on Revolve,” Cole began. “I don’t know I’m manifesting it, leave me alone. And I was scrolling and I was like: ‘What’s this?’”
As Cole shows the tag Vaccine Ready, she begins to giggle, before continuing: “They’re all shirts that you can wear to your vaccine appointment. So you can pick any of these. Or these,” as she scrolls.
In the caption of the video, which has been viewed more than 336,000 times, the TikTok user joked: “Excuse me as I get my $250 vaccine shirt next-day.”

The category, which can be found under the retailer’s tops section, lists brands such as Alice + Olivia, Free People, Joie and Tularosa, with the items of clothing retailing from $38 to $297 for a halter top by brand Alexis.
In the comments, the reactions to the section have been divided, with some finding the new category amusing, while others have accused the brand of attempting to profit off the pandemic with the expensive clothing items.
“I’m obsessed with this concept,” one person commented, while another said: “Ok this is actually really good marketing, that’s so funny.”
Others weren’t as impressed, with one viewer commenting: “They better provide the vaccine with those prices,” and another writing: “Gotta love Capitalism.”
“This is actually the most moronic thing I’ve ever seen,” someone else wrote on Instagram.
Despite the criticism from some, the concept of a vaccine outfit isn’t an entirely new idea, as various celebrities including Dolly Parton and Amy Schumer have dressed up for their vaccine appointments in outfits that have included arm cut-outs for easy access.
