REVIEW: Little Mix put on a girl power show at Liverpool Fusion Festival in Sefton Park

Little Mix treated fans to the ultimate pop music performance tonight at Liverpool’s Fusion Festival.

This is the fourth year that Fusion Festival has taken place in the city, however, it’s the first year the event has graced Sefton Park, having previously been hosted at Otterspool Promenade.

On Friday, crowds enjoyed a Kings of Leon UK festival exclusive set , while on Saturday, Rudimental, Dizzie Rascal, John Newman, Sigala and more performed.

But the three days of music came to a spectacular end tonight with Little Mix closing the festival.

Joining the BRIT award-winning girl band was Mabel, Rak-Su, Clean Bandit, Anne-Marie, HRVY and New Rules.

Showcasing nothing less than a masterclass in girl power, Jade, Perrie, Jesy and Leigh-Anne proved why they are one of the biggest pop bands in the world.

Armed with flawless live vocals, uptempo dance routines and sassy attitudes, they dominate the stage. It’s easy to see why they are loved by so many.

Around 30,000 fans, of all ages, attended the concert which was one of the only UK festival appearances Little Mix made this year.

Bursting onto the stage with Salute, the feisty quartet set the bar high for what was a night full of their greatest hits including Touch, Wings, Black Magic and Bounce Back.

While the set was short and sweet, the setlist featured their most popular songs, making sure not to disappoint the masses.

Addressing the crowd, Jade said: “Tell you what Fusion it is good to be back in Liverpool!

“We just love it here, we’ll be back here on tour.

“I’ll tell you what I love about Liverpool the people, you're very good for a night out

“And your accent is amazing...”

Their vocals were highlighted in acapella moments, showing that they can sing live just as well as they do on recordings.

Though, it’s a surprise you could hear them through the thousands of Little Mixers singing along. Fans knew every word and dance move and practically performed alongside as part of the band.

What was even more surprising was Little Mix kept pitch-perfect vocals through full music video quality dance routines. The ladies hardly stopped from start to finish but still delivered.

Simon Cowell certainly did a good job when he paired the girls together all those years ago, their chemistry on stage is electric.

Unlike other diva performances, Jade, Perrie, Jesy and Leigh-Anne didn’t change costume and instead stayed in monochrome ensembles throughout, looking incredible.

Little Mix certainly know how to put on a concert and they brought everything they had to Sefton Park.

They would certainly have some little girls and women feeling great after that feeling good performance.
