Review: Glen Road café is perfect spot for coffee lovers and four legged friends

While lockdown has caused devastation for businesses, some cracking businesses were formed during lockdown.

Seven on the Glen Road has been open for the last four months and is attracting hundreds through their doors each week.

And during a lunch break from the glamour of working from home, Seven is the spot to wind down for an hour before opening the laptop up again.

What makes the café so attractive is their warm welcome from staff, eagerness to get to know their customers and their love for dogs.

First class service (Seven)

Their 'free puppacinno with every adult purchase' signage at the tills is propped against a jar of dog treats.

We opted for the special 'S Club 7' for lunch - their take on a club sandwich - but with a twist.

The S Club 7 (Seven)

Keeping in theme with their name and address, the 'S Club 7' has seven ingredients - Cajun chicken, chorizo, bacon, sundried tomatoes, cheese, mixed leaves and black cracked pepper mayo - a mouthful to say the least!

Seven's food is served in branded brown boxes for takeaways and on beautiful slabs for those eating in. All sandwiches come with crisps with sweet chilli sauce on the side.

It's not just their food that is making Seven so popular on the road - their coffees are next level, with our favourite being their signature mochas.

Seven (Justin Kernoghan/Belfast Live)

Located a stone throw away from the Falls Park, Seven is the perfect spot to stop after a walk with your dog for a coffee and a traybake. They have an 'all are welcome' vibe within and each week even snap photos of their doggie visitors for a 'pup of the week' challenge which is shared on Instagram.

Also spied on their menu was Seven's toasted 'crisp-wich' - basically a cheesy crisp sandwich - very Belfast. The toastie is served with caamelised onion chutney, melted cheese and O'Donnells cheese and onion crisps.

This will be our choice for the next visit...
