Revenues at tech firm Mission Labs hit £1m in first year of trading

The founders of tech firm Mission Labs have seen revenues for its cloud-based phone system CircleLoop hit £1m in the first year of trading.

Forecasts for the next 12 months also predict sales at the Lancashire-headquartered business will reach more than £2.5m at the end of its second year.

The company has also seen staff numbers increase from 12 to 30 in the same period, with numbers expected to rise again to more than 50 over the next 12 months.

Mission Labs co-founder Damian Hanson said: “We founded the business to challenge the norm in the communications space through a number of digitally-led products.

“Our first brand, the SaaS-based phone system CircleLoop, has really started to establish itself as a product with thousands of paying customers already.”

The firm has attributed CircleLoop’s financial success to key integration partnerships with complementary products such as HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive and Capsule.

Mr Hanson added: “We will continue to grow this in the UK and internationally in the coming years.”

Mission Labs has also officially launched its second product SmartAgent, which uses technology with the aim to make contact centres more efficient by reducing contact and average handling time.

Mission Labs has appointed James Wilson as director of SmartAgent to spearhead the proposition.

Co-founder David Hague said: “We are expanding several high profile partnerships to really establish the product this year and we’re delighted to have James on board to drive the vision forward.”

While early adopters of SmartAgent have been skewed towards the retail sector, it is now attracting interest from other industries including insurance, logistics, FinTech, travel and the public sector, the firm said.

Mission Labs’s customers and partners including JD Sport Group Plc, HubSpot, FirstGroup, PrettyLittleThing, American Golf, Amazon.
