Revenue officers have seized almost €200,000 of cannabis following several searches at the Dublin Mail Hub.
Officers made the seizures yesterday and today with the help of ace detector dog Bailey.
Yesterday, 615 grams of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €12,300 discovered in two separate parcels which originated in the UK and Canada respectively.
The packages were destined for addresses in Dublin and Wicklow.
This was followed today by a seizure of 9Kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €180,000 in a parcel which originated in Mozambique and was destined for an address in the capital.
Earlier this week, Revenue officials seized drugs worth €33,430 following a number of searches at the Athlone Mail Centre.
The haul included 1.150g of herbal cannabis, 31.5g of heroin, 290 ecstasy tablets and 52g of ketamine.
In a separate operation at Rosslare Europort over 13,100 litre of smuggled wine was recovered.
The smuggled alcohol, with an estimated retail value of over €247,400 representing a loss to the Exchequer of €148,800, had arrived in a foreign registered truck that had disembarked a ferry from France.
A Revenue spokesman said investigations into the seizure are ongoing with a view to prosecution.
He added: "These routine operations are part of Revenue's ongoing work targeting the smuggling and shadow economy activity.
