Revenue officers seize €33,000 worth of MDMA from Dollymount house

Revenue officers have seized drugs worth an estimated €33,000 during a house search in Dublin.

Around 560 grams of MDMA was seized after officers discovered them in the Dollymount house during a search under warrant on Friday.

A 23-year-old Irish man was arrested at the scene by the gardai and brought to the Raheny Garda Station where he’s currently being held under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

The seizure was made as a result of a joint intelligence-led operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, Gardaí from the Clontarf Drugs Unit and the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.

A spokeswoman for Revenue said: “Investigations are ongoing.

“This operation was part of ongoing, intelligence led, joint investigations targeting the importation of illegal drugs.
