Revenue dog Bailey helps seize €100,000 of cannabis at Dublin Mail Centre

Revenue officers at the Dublin Mail Centre seized 5kg of herbal cannabis on Thursday with an estimated street value of €100,000.

They were concealed in seven parcels labelled as ‘diaries’, ‘kitchen tools’, ‘USB fan’, ‘toys’ and ‘car air fresheners’.

The drugs were coming in from Canada and the USA and were destined for addresses in Dublin and Waterford, Dublin Live reports.

The illegal drugs were discovered with the assistance of Revenue detector dog Bailey and investigations are ongoing with a view to prosecution.
