Football.London understands that Marko Arnautovic has missed the Premier League visit to Manchester United having picked up an illness earlier this week.
The Austrian striker only managed to train on Friday and was not considered fit enough for the matchday squad that made its way to Old Trafford on later that night so was left at home.
It's the second time this season Arnautovic has missed a clash through illness, the other was ironically also in Manchester when West Ham were beaten by City at the Etihad Stadium in February.

Manuel Pellegrini confirmed the news to broadcaster BT Sport before kick off, saying: "Well Marko was sick during the week, especially Wednesday and Thursday so he was not 100 per cent to play this game."
Aaron Cresswell has also missed out for the Hammers and has been replaced by Arthur Masuaku. We understand that it is through a minor injury, not squad selection.
The other change came at right back as Pablo Zabaleta came in for Ryan Fredericks and that was a team selection decision by Manuel Pellegrini as he went for the experience of the Argentine over the pace of Fredericks.

Spanish striker Lucas Perez didn't make the matchday 18 either and that was through a minor injury he picked up in training this week.
