Revealed: Where Bristol City, Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and others sit in the Championship fair play table

There have been 286 yellow cards shown already in the Championship so far this season, despite being just six games into the new campaign.

Fans will often feel their side are more harshly treated by referees than others and point to the fair play table to prove it.

Brentford, Stoke City and Reading are so far the most well-behaved teams in the Championship, with seven bookings apiece.

Bristol City sit in mid table, having picked up 13 bookings as no yellows.

No team has received more than one red card so far this season, but some have been punished more for their reds than others.

The FA's website explains that teams are given four points for every yellow card they pick up, whilst a red card for a denial of a goal-scoring opportunity or the cumulation of two yellows is given 10 points.

A red card for violent conduct, serious foul play, spitting or foul and abusive language, is penalised with 12 points.
