Revealed: How much latest transfer target would cost Nottingham Forest

The latest player to be linked with a transfer to Nottingham Forest is striker Mbaye Diagne.

Reports last week in Turkey said the Reds are keen to sign the 28-year-old, and are the most interested in signing the forward.

It has been reported that unnamed clubs in England and France have shown an interest in signing the Senegalese international, who was linked with a move to Norwich City last summer.

Diagne is currently on loan at Belgian outfit Club Brugge from Turkish club Galatasaray, although he is yet to make a competitive appearance since November.

The striker missed a penalty in the Champions League group stage match against Paris Saint-Germain, and was later fined and dropped by manager Phillipe Clement, after he took the spot kick himself instead of designated taker Hans Vanaken.

So what is the current transfer value of the latest name linked with a move to the City Ground?

Diagne signed for Galatasaray in January 2019 fro Kasimpasa, and Brugge have the option to sign the striker on a permanent basis at the end of his loan for a reported fee of 13m euros (£12m).

Reports claim that Diagne could be available for 6-8m euros (£5.5m-£7.5m) this summer, and according to Transfermarkt the striker is valued at £5.4m.

Prior to being dropped by Brugge, Diagne made nine appearances in all competitions, netting four goals which have all come in the Jupiler Pro League.
