Nearly 20,000 people in Bristol are members of a dating site for extramarital affairs.
That is according to the 2019 “infidelity index” from illicitencounters.com , which allows married people to do the dirty on their spouse.
The figures reveal that 18,741 people in Bristol are members of the website - or 5.1 per cent of the city’s adult population.
That's up on the 17,048 members from last year.
Bristol actually ranks fairly low down the list, coming in at 40th place across 52 UK cities.

St Albans has the highest rate, followed by Oxford and Bath.
Gloucester, Durham, Exeter, Lichfield, Peterborough, Inverness and Newcastle complete the top 10.
The website does come with a warning for people considering signing up.
It says: “Not everyone is suited to having an affair. They are not an alternative to working on or ending a marriage.

“Always consider other people and if you are going to have an affair, please select your partner wisely.”
People in Bangor are the least likely in the country to have an affair, according to the infidelity index.
