Revealed: The North East's most expensive properties sold in February

Million-pound mansions in Newcastle and luxurious Northumberland country homes were among the most expensive homes sold in the North East last month.

Data from the Land Registry reveals the area's millionaire's rows, showing the streets where people paid the highest prices for property in February.

The most expensive home, in Osborne Villas, sold for close to £2m, while the top-priced list also includes homes in Northumberland, North Tyneside, and Sunderland.

Here are the top-ten top-priced property searches which took place in February:

Osborne Villas, Newcastle

Sold for £1,925,000 on February 14

This Jesmond a detached house was described as a "delightful, semi-detached Victorian villa" when it was advertised for sale. It has seven bedrooms as well as a spa pool and Jacuzzi.

Eastcliffe Mews, Gosforth, Newcastle

Sold for £1,025,000 on February 7

This detached house lies in an "exclusive gated development in the heart of central Gosforth".

Yearle House, Wooler, Northumberland

Sold for £745,000 on February 3

When it was sold this home was described as a " delightful and impressive rural property", which came with its own 3.5 acres.

Park House Farm, Morpeth, Northumberland

Sold for £745,000 on February 13

This "grand period farmhouse" lies close to the station and the centre of the popular town.

Hawthorn Road, Newcastle

Sold for £734,500 on February 5

The first terraced house on the list was sold in popular Gosforth and is close to Gosforth Park.

Holywell Avenue, Whitley Bay

Sold for £705,000 on February 14

This semi-detached house is just a short walk from the coast at Whitley Bay and is adjacent to Churchill Playing Field.

Woodlands Road, Cleadon

Sold for £690,000 on February 14

This detached house comes with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and two reception rooms.

Woodlea Firs, High Lane, Maltby, Middlesbrough

Sold for £580,000 on February 4

This five-bed detached house is situated in the popular North Yorkshire village of Maltby.
