Arsenal 2019/20 pre-season fixtures: The schedule in full as the Gunners head to America

Arsenal's pre-season preparations will go up a notch in the next few days as they head to the United States of America.

The Gunners are set to travel today (Thursday) as they head to the States for a pre-season tour, with some mouthwatering games planned for their time in America.

That includes fixtures against Bayern Munich, Fiorentina and Real Madrid in the International Champions Cup as the countdown to the new season continues for Arsenal.

The players have been back in pre-season training for the past week, and a young Arsenal XI faced National League side Boreham Wood on Saturday in the first friendly of the summer, which finished 3-3.

But now, the first team squad is making the trip to America, albeit without captain Laurent Koscielny, who has refused to travel to the United States against the club's clear instructions.

Arsenal will play four fixtures during their time in America, with a friendly against Colorado Rapids followed by the first of Arsenal's three ICC fixtures, which is against Bayern Munich and will be staged in Los Angeles. The game will take place at the 27,000 capacity Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

Arsenal will then travel to Charlotte, North Carolina, where they will meet Fiorentina in the Bank of America Stadium, which has a capacity of 75,412.

The last of the three games will be the biggest of the lot, with Emery's side meeting Spanish giants Real Madrid in Washington DC at the 82,000 capacity FedEx Field.

Following their return from the United States, Arsenal will also face French side Lyon in the Emirates Cup, and a trip to France to face Ligue 1 side Angers.

Meanwhile, Emery's men are also set to take on Barcelona in the Camp Nou in a prestigious friendly one week before the start of the new domestic season.

The Gunners have also confirmed that an Arsenal XI will face Barnet in pre-season, adding to a hectic pre-season for Unai Emery's men ahead of the new season.

But, the action that fans have been craving gets underway today (Saturday), as an Arsenal XI travel to Boreham Wood, with the game kicking off at 3pm. The Gunners team is expected to mainly consist of U23 and youth players, but the game will give fans the chance to see the next generation in action and watch their team in action again ahead of the new campaign.
