Retro property up for sale in Clydebank is a 1970s time capsule

A property has gone up for sale that offers a wow factor like few we've ever seen in or around Glasgow - by looking like something straight out the 1970s.

The two bedroom mid terraced villa, located on Cochno Street in Whitecrook, Clydebank, certainly has all the vintage vibes plenty of us are after - with the funkiest carpets we've ever seen throughout, as well as retro wallpaper, curtains and furniture.

You could even be forgiven for thinking it was a set used for a 70s-set TV show, such is the lack of any modern touches, which is unsurprising since the current owners have been resident within it since the 1950s according to the property listing.

Perhaps the biggest assets are the huge front and back gardens and charming entrance, with the property also enjoying two public rooms, two double bedrooms and 'well proportioned accommodation', as well as gas central heating and double glazing.

Although benefitting from 'a wealth of character', the property agents tasked with selling the house are left in little doubt that a any buyer will "surely decide to undertake an extensive programme of refurbishment throughout".

A description of the house reads: "A rarely available Mid Terraced Villa on a sought after street within a popular locale offered at competitive asking price to reflect the degree of modernisation required throughout its traditionally proportioned accommodation.

"Following upgrading works, the property is sure to make for a well proportioned and ideal family home as it has for the current vendors who have been resident within since the 1950's.

"The traditionally proportioned accommodation displays a wealth of character at present although, the agents and indeed the current owners are under no illusion that, the majority of buyers will surely decide to undertake an extensive programme of refurbishment throughout although the agents stress that prior to marketing, this has been taken into account when the home report valuation was being finalised."

The house is for sale for offers over £170,000, and you can have a look at the listing on Zoopla here
